It’s my wife’s birthday today! We’re going to see Wicked: For Good this evening as part of a weekend full of celebration.
I have settled into my new job as a software engineer at Nava. I am working on the CMS Design System, helping other Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services developers create more consistent, accessible, and appealing sites.
Outside of civic tech, I am still the ring announcer for KCXW. The next show is Destiny on January 17th. Buy your tickets at kcwrestling.com.
The winter gimmicks karaoke league has wrapped. I won Vocal Performance of the Week one week for performing “Mr. Cellophane” from the musical Chicago.
My wife and I are still in Kansas City, Missouri. While KC is known for its BBQ, that’s not the only food game in town. Dixon’s Famous Chili has been serving up their namesake since 1919 and it’s still an affordable, quick, and tasty meal today. I recommend the tamale spread juicy style with onions and grated cheese.
